In sync with with national and global objectives for decarbonisation, our mission is to accelerate commercialisation of Australia’s ocean energy sector by increasing market demand for integrated ocean energy systems.
As a catalyst for adoption of ocean energy the program will develop a Market Demonstration Showcase for wave energy in the Southern Ocean near Albany, Western Australia. By creating an integrated renewable microgrid platform using a mixture of renewable energy solutions, the Showcase will demystify ocean energy as part of the clean renewable energy mix – and bridge the gap between emerging wave and tidal technology and market demand for renewable transitions.
