Dr Lim Kian Yew is Acting Director (Operations) of TCOMS since July 2022. He manages TCOMS corporate services, laboratory operations and oversees business continuity and IP management of the organisation. Dr Lim is also involved in the development of R&D capabilities in physical modelling study and research initiatives related to coastal protection.

Dr Lim graduated with a PhD in Coastal Engineering from the National University of Singapore, focusing on wave-current flow interaction which was carried out jointly with the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology Centre (SMART). He also holds a Master’s degree in Management of Technology and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
