Monitoring and Assessing Offshore/High Energy Production Structures

This project will provide a comprehensive and up to date assessment of the ‘state of the art’ and ‘knowledge gaps’ associated with the impacts of offshore/high energy aquaculture activities and energy generation on the marine environment. This will include consideration of the development of robust site selection procedures, environmental and operational monitoring strategies, including the application of remote monitoring technology and ‘expert systems’ and potential metrics and targets for reporting environmental and operational performance.

This assessment will then form a basis for the development of targeted calls and guide the assessment of ‘General’ projects offered in support of RP4 Outputs 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3.
