Research Program 1, Offshore Engineering and Technology has published their initial findings in the Journal of Process Safety and Environmental Protection.

The findings from the Scoping Project, ‘Multi-purpose offshore/high energy platforms: concepts and applications’ led by Dr Nagi Abdussamie (UTAS) focuses on challenges relating to reliability of Multi-Purpose Offshore-Platforms (MPOPs).

The article is the first referred publication of the Blue Economy CRC. A result of the close collaboration between colleagues from academia and industry.

As Project Leader and Reserach Program Deputy Leader, Dr Abdussamie states:

“This is just the very beginning and more rigorous research is required for realising the huge potential of MPOPs for the Australian aquaculture and renewable energy industries.”
