The Blue Economy CRC would like to share that our CEO, Dr John Whittington, has resigned to take up a new opportunity with Salmon Tasmania with his last day being Friday 2nd May. We have activated the succession planning process and will shortly appoint an executive recruitment company to help us with our search for a new CEO.
Professor Irene Penesis, our current Research Director, will serve as Interim CEO of the BE CRC during the transition period. Her extensive knowledge and expertise across all facets of the BE CRC will ensure a seamless transition that maintains our operational momentum and strategic direction.
With an amazing team of talented, networked and committed people throughout the CRC, and working closely with our Board and our Participants, we’ll ensure the organisation continues to go from strength to strength.
