Dr Miguel Frohlich is an environmental planner and lawyer who holds a PhD in Policy Studies from the University of the Sunshine Coast, a Master of Environmental Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a Bachelor of Laws from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.

His research has focused on ways to facilitate the development of a sustainable blue economy, with an emphasis on policy and regulatory approaches to improve environmental assessment and approval pathways for offshore renewable energy.
