Site Selection
What is it and how do we do it?

This month in the Environment and Ecosystems Research Program October newsletter we discuss Milestone 2 of the Program ~ site selection and how to assess potential sites, the tools and criteria used.

We discuss how particular characteristics of a site such as distance from infrastructure and physical conditions can impact on the overall cost and production levels possible at the site. This information can then be used to rank a site’s potential, all the costs and associated risks now and into the future.

In this edition, Chris Frid and Remo Cossu discuss consultation in the time of COVID and we outline why supporting site selection will be such an important part of the work done by Research Program 4.
