Associate Professor Peggy Chen
Associate Professor Chen is the Director of Centre for Maritime and Logistics Management at the Australian Maritime College (AMC), University of Tasmania. She joined AMC as an academic in 2004. Prior to AMC, she worked in different sectors in Taiwan, including Customs, banking, and tertiary education. She holds a PhD in Port Management from Cardiff University UK and has great interest in the sustainable development of maritime sectors through research and education.
Her research focus and publications are in the field of maritime logistics management including port governance, port management and strategy, climate change impacts and port adaption strategy, and risk management. She currently undertakes research in maritime decarbonisation such as port-focused hydrogen supply chains and port decarbonisation. She is also involved in research projects within the Blue Economy CRC in relation to logistics and supply chain management for different sectors including offshore wind and aquaculture.
