Chavelli leads Aquaculture and Emerging Marine Industries at NRE Tasmania.

The role sees Chavelli and her team providing high quality technical and policy advice to Government on sustainable planning, development and management of existing and emerging fisheries and aquaculture industries.

Chavelli has a professional background in international relations/law, foreign policy and diplomacy. Chavelli has worked in senior government roles at both the State and Commonwealth level, as well as within international organisations. She brings significant expertise and experience in strategic policy, particularly in relation to the renewable energy and resources portfolios.
