She plays a key role in the development and implementation of Tassal’s ESG strategy, embedding responsible business practices across the company’s operations. Gemma facilitates cross-functional working groups to drive progress on key sustainability targets, with a focus on responsible sourcing and climate action, including emissions reduction.
Most recently, she successfully project-managed Tassal’s science-based target setting initiative, aligning the company’s climate goals with global best practices. She also led the nano-bubble decarbonisation trial in partnership with the Blue Economy Cooperative Research Centre (BECRC). Gemma is committed to advancing sustainable aquaculture, ensuring Tassal not only meets but exceeds environmental and ethical standards in the seafood industry.
