Kylie is a marine ecologist and professor at Griffith University, with specialist expertise in the ecology of jellyfishes. Her research focuses on understanding the population dynamics of jellyfishes from local to global scales and their responses to changing ocean conditions. She leads the Griffith Sea Jellies Research Laboratory, a state-of-the-art research facility specialised for studying jellyfish, which is located within Sea World’s Sea Jellies Illuminated exhibit and on display to the public.
