Matthew is Huon Aquaculture’s General Manager Sustainability, responsible for the development and execution of a broad-based, company-wide sustainability strategy. Additional responsibilities include management of environmental compliance and leading Huon’s R&D activities.

Matthew has a science background having studied Marine, Antarctic and Freshwater Ecology at the University of Tasmania, following on to work in several research and consulting roles. Since entering the aquaculture industry in 2014, Matthew has held operational, technical and managerial positions. Matthew is the Huon lead for the BE CRC and has been focused on developing offshore operations for both Atlantic salmon and yellowtail kingfish.
