Monique (Ngāti Whātua) is the Head of Relationships and Communications at New Zealand King Salmon, a role she stepped into in September 2023 as part of the company’s Senior Leadership Team. With a strong background in Māori resource management, environmental studies and aquaculture (Master’s in Environmental Studies, Victoria University of Wellington), Monique brings experience building strong relationships, meaningful partnerships, and delivering impactful communications.

Working across the spectrum as a consultant working for Māori organisations, as a civil servant (working for the Ministry for Primary Industries’ Aquaculture Directorate) and now for a listed Salmon company, Monique has amassed a range of diverse work experiences which shape her open and adaptive approach to her work delivery.
